Will Mianecki (he/him) is an art director and educator with parallel practices in commercial design and independent research. His commercial practice focuses on brand identity and systems, leading creative work at the intersection of journalism and visual culture. He is currently Art Director at The Washington Post and has previously held roles at The New York Times and Public Policy Lab. His research practice examines technology through the lens of media infrastructure, with a focus on undersea cables and data centers.
He has taught at the Rhode Island School of Design, Parsons, and New York University, and holds an MFA in graphic design from RISD and a BFA from Michigan State University.
